Membership

Membership is limited to 60 active members who must own and maintain a "hidden" Beacon Hill garden and be willing to open it to the public periodically on tour day. The Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill Tour remains the club's major fundraising activity, always scheduled for the third Thursday in May. As visitors stroll at leisure on a self-guided tour along the streets of the Beacon Hill historic district, scores of garden club members as well as neighborhood volunteers offer a warm welcome and guidance at this once-a-year community celebration. At monthly meetings, members explore aspects of environmental issues, conservation, horticulture and floral design.
To become a member of the Beacon Hill Garden Club, a resident must own a hidden garden that is easily accessible to the public, attend monthly meetings, and participate in our civic gardening projects.
